Compassion, Empathy, and Understanding – Life Coach A.J. Mahari

Life Coach and author, A.J. Mahari, a 2 part video excerpt of a workshop she did with a group of her clients exploring finding compassion, empathy, and understanding. More people than not, by far, do have a rich capacity for compassion, empathy, and understanding. What prevents a lot of people from living in and through this way of experiencing the world and experiencing self is being out of balance and thinking in polarized ways. Another key block to finding your own compassion, empathy, and understanding, has at its core a lack of knowledge and awareness about who you really are.

Finding Space for Self

In this excerpt from a workshop that Life Coach and author, A.J. Mahari, held with a group of her clients working on learning to create and practice skills that help them achieve healthy time and space for self and for spiritual connection and resting, relaxing, and re-charging A.J. begins to layout the work that lies ahead on the journey to taking physical space and time and transforming it to an inner equanimity.

7 Central Principles of Personal Mastery

As a Life Coach, BPD, and Mental Health Coach, A.J. Mahari has become keenly aware that, increasingly, people are coming to more fully understand how important it is to develop their life skills. Life, as it unfolds, is a journey, and not a destination. No one has it all figured out. There is always more room to grow and more that you can benefit from learing, generally, and about yourself, more specifically. You will also benefit from becoming more aware of your strengths and your weaknesses, in balanced, accepting, mindful, and non-judgmental ways. This mindful awareness is central to your continued self-improvement, growth, and development.

Authenticity and The Authentic Self

Authenticity is derived from the flowing consistent and congruent expression of one’s integrated and aware truth in conscious and evolved ways that are spiritually based and that are kind, genuine, giving, and loving. Authenticity is not about the gratification of the ego – the image of what is often referred to as a false self. Authenticity is cultivating and connecting to the universal force or God-spirit within and making a commitment to manifesting your purpose, promise, and passion.

Patience With The Process of Change

Change is the only thing that really does paradoxically stay the same. Change is a staple in our lives – it is a constant to varying degrees, or at least in certain stages of our lives.

Humbled by All That is Beyond The Obvious Moment

I am often humbled by all that is beyond the obvious moment. Of course, what is beyond any obvious moment is anything and everything that we do not grasp or hold awareness of in any unfolding moment. Each moment is so rich with context, texture, lessons and experience. Each moment has such meaning and purpose.

Stand In Your Power

In this world there will always be some people who, for whatever constellation of reasons, need to tear down others in order to feel okay about themselves. There will always be people that cross our paths to criticize us and to attempt to dump a chunk of their own lostness, brokenness, and negativity upon us.

Self-Possession – Self Blessing – Excerpt from the book, “On My Own” by Florence Falk

In my work as a psychotherapist, I have seen a succession of women trying to reclaim the self. They come seeking relief from the pain of something that has gone awry in their lives, which could be anything from breaking up with a boyfriend to marriage wounds to a hypercritical boss to some undefined but persistent angst.
