Be grateful even for your grief. Loss is a teacher. Grief and acknowledging your pain is the way to heal that pain. Practicing an attitude of gratitude through radical acceptance and your faith is a very peaceful and positive way to meet life’s challenges. In order for us to grow, create positive healthy change, and learn important things in all stages of life there are losses that we must endure. Losses that we need to embrace with an awareness of what we can control and what cannot control.

She places her other hand lightly onto your left shoulder, then onto your right shoulder. A sensation of tingling warmth ripples through your body. A nagging pain in your lower back [...]

Any story you tell yourself about who you are, any belief you have, any feeling you are aware of, is only an object of your larger consciousness. You, in your essence, are always something that experiences all these and remains more complete than any of them. When you realize that you are inherently larger than [...]

Today marks the one year anniversary of my dog Mandy’s death. It has been a long year of very profound grief for me. It has not been an easy time at all. And yet, ironically, as I come to meet this day, as I had feared to some degree, the meeting and experiencing of this [...]

Just because things are stressful doesn’t mean you aren’t getting anywhere. Just because you are in pain doesn’t mean you can’t know joy. Just because you are alone doesn’t mean you are not connected. Just because you want or need more doesn’t mean this moment doesn’t offer you enough. It is enough right now because [...]
