Patience With The Process of Change
Email This Post
Change is the only thing that really does paradoxically stay the same. Change is a staple in our lives – it is a constant to varying degrees, or at least in certain stages of our lives.
Creating the kind of personal enlightenment and awareness that can most effectively support the choices that we need to make to accept both the challenge and the rewards of change is crucial to lessening the stress of change.
Stress is a part of change. Change is a process. You will benefit greatly from developing a radically accepting and mindful patience for any process of change in your life.
Change often involves loss. Loss not faced can become anger, bitterness, and effect both your mental and physical health. It is important to radically accept loss. It is healthy to embrace the pain of that loss. Embracing the pain of our losses is the point at which we can actually successfully cope with the change that we know we need in our lives.
Have patience with any process of change in your life. Have patience with yourself. Understand that while there may be pain, stress, and challenge in the process of a change, that the change underway in your life is necessary. Sometime we choose change. Sometimes change seems to choose to insert itself in our lives when we were least prepared and in some cases not very aware of the need for the change that we find ourselves faced with.
Patience with the process of change begins with the radical acceptance of the process itself and of the change that has come into our lives to teach us more about what we need to understand so that we can continue to grow and continue to live the healthiest life possible.
Be mindful of the change that has either chosen you or the change that you need to choose and engage. Give yourself the gift of exercising compassionate patience with this process of change in your life and be kind and loving to and with yourself.
