At the Crossroads

In life there are many crossroads. There is not one major intersection of choice. There is rarely only one right way for most things in life to unfold or come to us or to teach us. There are many paths up the mountain for sure.

There are many crossroads in life. Life’s crossroads are often prefaced by difficult dark nights of the soul. Dark nights of the soul when we are searching in the desert of what it means to be who each one of us is. Dark nights that are the urning of our authenticity stretching to be released from within.

Crossroads beckon to us often in life. Crossroads are often paradoxical. They are difficult. They can be painful. They are the harbingers of change.

When you know you are standing at a precious complicated crossroads in your life be mindful of these two words – CHOOSE WISELY.

Do not allow shame to stop you. Do not hide away in your shame. Shame thrives in the darkness of isolation.  Do not stop believing that you can make it to where you want to be. Have faith. Risk feeling sad in order to know joy. Weep when you feel the need to. It’s okay. It will help you to open up the crossroads that await your choosing to journey them.

The secret to navigating any crossroad moment or any crossroad dark night of the soul is to choose wisely.
