Choose To Be Who You Really Are
In this complicated and fast-paced world of ours each and every one of us really needs to make a conscious and aware choice to be who he or she really is.
This is a choice to search for, find, and nurture authenticity within your being. Choosing to be who you really are can mean stretching beyond all you have known and beyond who you have defined yourself as or been defined as by others.
This sacred choice is not one that is made only once in life. No. We must make this choice to be who we really are, over and over again. Each and every time we are confronted with right and wrong, with up-holding or compromising our values, ethics, and beliefs we must again exercise this consistent and congruent choice.
Choosing to be who you really are is not just an intellectual choice. It is a choice that requires the assimilation of the spiritual, emotional, psychological, and philosophical authenticity that is housed within you. This choice requires action also. Making a choice to be who you really are is one thing but consistently undertaking action that supports it and nurtures it is quite another. This choice to be who you really are has at its centre your willingness to take full responsibility for yourself, your words, your actions, and your thoughts.
Do not waste another minute of another day being who you think you are supposed to be. Do not waste another minute of another day being who you think others expect you to be. You have the inherent universally-given freedom to define yourself in concert with your faith and to make the choice to be who you really are. If we do not stand up for something – in this case – who we really are – we will fall for anything.
