Funding of $4.4 million from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) was announced today by Steven Fletcher, MP for Charleswood-St. James-Assiniboia and Parliamentary Secretary for Health, on behalf of Tony Clement, Minister of Health. This funding will support three research teams investigating how to improve the application of mental health research.
In my work as a psychotherapist, I have seen a succession of women trying to reclaim the self. They come seeking relief from the pain of something that has gone awry in their lives, which could be anything from breaking up with a boyfriend to marriage wounds to a hypercritical boss to some undefined but persistent angst.
Every emotional cloud in life truly does have a silver lining. The essential way to be as aware as you can of the silver lining in each and every emotional cloud in your life is to live in the here and now.
